The unusual wildlife spectacle in St James's Park was caught on camera by photographer Cathal McNaughton. He said the Eastern White pelican had the unfortunate pigeon in its beak for more than 20 minutes before swallowing it whole. Rab Posted October 28, 2006 Share Posted October 28, 2006 haha thats mint. wtf is a pelican doing in london tho... i remember once, in my home town which is an old school port, there's a 'fish trail' on the floor for kids to follow around the town. at one point the little metal fish on the ground were reflecting in the sunlight and the seagulls thought they were real fish. seagulls would dive to their death as they tried to eat the sidewalk. Maybe the pelican is trying to change his eating habbit from fish to meat. This can be due to a low fish population in his territoria.
