Hacker Documentaries

I am completely hooked on Hacker Documentaries ( Phreaking and Gaming are Also included). I found quite a few really good ones, which I will state now...

BBS: A Documentary

New York City Hackers

Freedom Downtime

Quakers: The Documentary

Disinformation

Unautorized Access

The Code

TLC Hackers: Computer Outlaws

TLC Hackers: Outlaws & Angels

My question is, are there any other monumental Documentaries I have missed, or even smaller ones that you would stll recomend?

BBS: A Documentary

A chunk of that can be (legally) viewed in Infonomicon episode 3. The bit they showed just blew me away. It felt like a pure, honest documentary of the life and times of the BBSes, told by those that were doing it. Powerful stuff. Recommended!

http://bbsdocumentary.com/

He requests $40 for a nice, printed and packaged set, but since the docu is released under Creative Commons you should be able to find a download link somewhere aswell (and it would be legal to use it).

"In The Realm Of The Hackers" by Film Australia, tells the story of Electron and his various exploits during the early days of hacking.

You already have listed "The Code" and even though it contains alot fo similar material I also would recommend watching "Revolution OS".

Revolution OS is a good one.

There's also a documentary from Natonal Geographic which is named "hackers".

I loved that one, anyone who was active in the cracking or hacking scene in the late 80's will get a kick out of the imagery in this documentary... I really liked this one!

Here you find the story of the Dutch hackers that found it the first Dutch InternetServiceProvider (XS4ALL). http://video.google.nl/videoplay?docid=-16...+hell&hl=nl

Cool! You must aslo have the first Hack-Tic where they announce the start-up of XS4ALL? A crappy photocopied ad for one of Holland's best and biggest providers :D

Do you know if I can download the recently broadcasted interview with Rop Gongrgrijp? (Half jaar geleden denk ik ongeveer uitgezonden?)

Still Looking for this one if you have it. I've googled the hell out of it with no progress. Only versions in French. I'd even settle for English Subtitles.

Loved the idea of phreaking when I was a kid, but the txt's I downloaded and aquired on floppy disks never worked on the UK phone system. What would be really cool is to interview some phone enginers about this, see what the other side of the argument was about.

yeah sorry bout that , i recorded it in mpeg2 back in the day and seem not to b able to make it a good divx , the size is huge -> 795 MB

and it seems that wont fit on my biggest ftp server ...

i'll have to w8 till the next lan and ask destination to put it on his , unless u have a huge ftp or any idea to make it smaller ... (i dont think UHARC will have enough effect ...)

o and on forehand , i hope u've got bsplayer cos vlc makes the sound jittery and wmv is just weird sometimes it completely f*cks up and stretches the movie, brings the sound out of sinc and plays the movie at high speed , and sometimes its just fine ...

I caught a documentary on National Geographic about 3-4 years back. It was called something along the lines of 'Catch A Little Fish:Cyberwars', it was based around some Chinese hackers (I think).

It was an excellent documentary, I tried to get a hold of a copy from NG but to no avail. Anyone ever see it?
