macker
The one Metatron uses is very good, SRC Cardbus 802.11a/b/g 300mW Wireless Card (Atheros). it's $123.95 which is £66.

SomeoneE1se
Go with the SRC Cardbus 802.11a/b/g 300mW Wireless Card. Is it worth it to pick up for $123.95 or should I look for a better deal? or wait for N
metatron
You might be able to pick it up cheaper. I don’t think it’s worth waiting for N as it will be a year or so before it becomes the norm and Linux support will take a bit longer. SomeoneE1se
anyway I can get it to support Promiscuous mode in XP? or should I just switch to Linux and be done with it(xp)
VaKo
There are a bunch of options for promiscus wifi scanning in windows, its just that they ain't free and most windows users have no need for it, hence the lack of support for it.
