vwidmer
Is it possible to load dd-wrt to the mark V pineapple? I am not finding much use in the default software and would like to put ddwrt or maybe just latest stock openwrt? Directions would be helpful. Thanks. Mr-Protocol
The pineapple is OpenWRT based. You can install any packages from the OpenWRT repositories as far as I know.

I thought that's what he wants to do but I think he wants to make his "own" pineapple
vwidmer
Actually I dont have need much of the pineapple ui at the moment and more need for just a router. I managed to install OpenWRT without the Pineapple stuff and seems for some reason it works fine with my external usb wifi adapter. I also did manage to get DD-Wrt installed but didnt care for it much after using OpenWRT. Even though the Pineapple can use the OpenWRT repos and I installed the same packages to it it didnt not want to work with my external usb adapter which I also need to pickup a connection. And most of the utilities with out some of the ui stuff are available in OpenWRTs repos. Thanks
m40295
are you trying to make a pineapple or making your pineapple dd-wrt i would suggest buying a cheap router i just converted my wrt54g to ddwrt i would not ever suggest converting your pineapple to a router to me its like using a lotus for a bumpercar
