So you wouldn't have to login with an ethernet cable every time, you could just flip the dip switches and then wam bam thank you mam, you have a open wifi connection to your pineapple, maybe just setup a default password like pineapplesareyummy

but i guess after the pineapple is reset, then the script is donezo.

might have to be part of the firmware then?

Why not just connect to your pineapple SSID or any karma one and access the web interface?

Does the wifi interface come up on factory reset?

I thought you had to set a password, then the wifi interface enabled?

If you factory reset you will have to set a root password to access the pineapple. I am not sure if one is set before the change, might be pineapplesareyummy if it is set. But you shouldn't be factory resetting all the time anyways.
