phubar
I work in IT and am typically sponsored to go to a limited number conferences. My "techlust" has been rejuvenated recently by sites like Hak5 (Thank you!) and I'd like to know what conferences this community is looking forward to in 2014? Cheers, ~phu
Mr-Protocol
DerbyCon is a must for me. Possibly toorcon if I can get the time off work.
phubar
Thanks for the reply - I'm looking at cons beyond blackhat and def con - DerbyCon looks like a great suggestion.
barry99705
I'm trying for defcon and derbycon. I have a love-hate relationship with defcon. I love the con, hate the lines.... Maybe this year I'll go to more than the 4 or 5 talks I went to this last derbycon.
Mr-Protocol
I made it to like 2 talks I think at DerbyCon. I'm there for the people more than the talks :P. Oh and I'm the Yuengling supplier for the crew :P.

Mr-Protocol
DefCon and ShmooCon are in the same location every year. ShmooCon is also hard to get tickets for.
phubar
Yes, Shmoocon is coming right up. I would love to attend but the demand for tickets (selling out in < 20 seconds on sell dates), the time of year (January is always challenging workwise for conflicts), and also it is on the East Coast (I'm typically onthe West) makes it tough. phubar
Barry - For Shmoocon any advice for getting tickets next year? Start hitting F5 now? :) After seeing some of the interviews and postings I think this a must.
barry99705
I've made it to Shmoocon twice. Oddly enough, same with defcon and derbycon! Already have my room reserved for defcon. Sarah said I have to come to defcon.
