Protect your self from DDoS attacks

Home network, or website? Website, try cloudflare. Home, change your external IP often and be sure to use NAT (don't sit directly on the modem provided by your ISP) and disable IPv6 if you can on both the router and the OS. Unless you specifically need IPv6, most sites will do the work for you unless they only have an IPv6 address for their site and no access over Ipv4, which I've yet to see. It just makes finding your home device much easier though and depending on the equipment, many can be killed with router advertisements spoofed at an IPv6 network running windows and some router devices not patched against the attack.
