Rapid triangulation of rogues?

Has anyone done any work with pineapples or other low cost HW/SW to do rapid triangulation or fox-hunting of rogue base stations or other interlopers?

Pretty sure the radios in soho access points aren't sensitive enough to pin them down with enough accuracy. You'd still end up having to walk around with a directional on a laptop or handheld device.
