bibbinut
Saw a Chrome OS netbook recently. Thinking of buying one. Anyone bought one and what do you think of Chrome OS? Pros? Cons? Would really like to hear from members here on their thoughts on this. Edited October 14, 2013 by bibbinut
iamk3
I looked into them a few months ago. You can't install any programs. May or may not be able to set static IPs. It's a "beta" feature. Some people have success, others don't. I've heard of some people buying it for the "inexpensive" hardware, wiping the sdd, and installing Linux. barry99705
I've got the original free one. It's okay for web surfing, or using web based apps, but that's about it. If you don't have an internet account you can still edit documents you've downloaded to it's drive, with google apps.
Anilyst
You can wipe it through the dev option and install Kali Linux onto it http://www.kali.org/downloads/ Just download the Chromebook image for Kali
