sergicles
Hi All I got issues configuring MK4 on OS X. I am on 10.8.5. General steps that I go through are: On laptop: Setup static IP 172.16.42.42 on Ethernet On laptop: Wifi - already configured, home access point At this stage I can access Pineapple... However the moment I enable OS X Internet sharing (ICS) from WiFi to Ethernet, pineapple is no longer accessible. This is the tutorial that is pretty much what I've done: ...though it's not working after the ICS is enabled. Tried rebooting the laptop, reset Pineapple to factory default, disable all firewalls, etc. No luck. I haven't looked at default OS X routing just yet, but thought most likely I am not the only one... So wondering if anyone here had the same issue and how you've solved it. Any tips would be awesome. Thanks Serg Edited September 29, 2013 by sergicles
Foxtrot
Look at the guide in the wiki, It may help you. I'm sorry to say this, but please consider dual booting with linux for your pineapple, it makes everything so much easier.
thesugarat
Serg, There are several posts on this and a wiki entry. Search the forums for "Mac ICS works". And Foxtrot is half right. Using a Mac with the Pineapple works but it's not easy. I use VMware Fusion for Mac for the times I need Linux.
sergicles
Thanks guys Yeah, seems like Linux is the way to go. I just had a Mac sitting here, so I thought, well, let's give this a go. :/
