Sebkinne Posted July 14, 2013 Posted July 14, 2013 Without an spi flasher / reader it's basically impossible. You could back up the individual mtd partitions but lots has gone wrong with that in the past - I wouldn't trust it.If you already have a serial device, flashing openWRT is a trivial process. Quote
dor_g Posted July 14, 2013 Author Posted July 14, 2013 I already have USB to Serial I want to connect to just get access the default router files and backup them I see there is a costum alfa firmware on it and not WRT firm... I just want to backup thats firmware... Quote
Sebkinne Posted July 14, 2013 Posted July 14, 2013 Yeah. I understand you. But without costly equipment this is not possible or rather not needed. You will probably able to contact Alfa and get some kernel and rootfs files to flash back.. but I cannot guarantee that. That's their thing. Quote

I guess the only reason to backup would be to revert back to a normal router, and I have come across this custom firmware, its not brilliant, your better off using OpenWRT, even it you aren't using it as a pineapple!
