DIY Wifi Pineapple

Recommended Posts

How would I go about creating a Wifi Pineapple with an Alfa AP121? This is the same router as used in the Wifi Pineapple Mark IV and I was wondering how I would put the same interface as the Wifi Pineapple on it. I know it's possible because it's exactly what Hak5 is doing. Please let me know if you know how.

Make sure you buy the Firmware developer kit to program your ap121, you will also need serial to USB.

Or you could buy the ap121 with open wrt on it.

I had bought the ap121 with out open-wrt on it, so I had to by the developer kit to program it.

Data Alliance is a great US source to by from, have not had a problem with them.

Can't u just use the Serial TTY Cable from the hakshop? Here: http://hakshop.myshopify.com/collections/accessory/products/serial-ttl-cable it's only $8.99

I haven't done it myself by I was under the impression that u could flash the Hornet board with that. Correct me if I'm wrong so i know in case I end up trying it myself in the future

Yes, you can. Just follow the instructions on the wiki.

I personally use the Alfa Serial Console. But I wrote instructions for both and general troubleshooting.

I thought so. Thanks for the quick reply. I just mentioned it cuz the 20 dollar price difference. If you're buying the hornet board and flashing it directly, (unless ur doing it for educational purposes) chances are you're trying to save yourself a few bux

Maybe some of you can get me the specs off the missing parts on my pcb.

i can identify 2 Elkos and this coil printed with 100. there are some smd resistors also left and right from the usb mount.

Would be nice if someone could post me the correct values of the missing parts.
