jalada Posted October 10, 2006 Posted October 10, 2006 I noticed as I (rarely) browsed the "new topics since your last visit" that I could see some posts that apparently "Don't exist". Their forum ID is 18. I know what 15, 16 and 17 are. But 18? I'm assuming it's an admin thing ("Vako's Crazy List of Forum Tasks" gave it away ;)). I just thought you guys would like to know. I can't read the posts for obvious reasons (I'm not an admin), so it's not too much of a big deal. Just don't write anything sensitive in the subject lines! Sorry if someone's already mention this. Here's a screeny: Quote
moonlit Posted October 10, 2006 Posted October 10, 2006 You know, I wasn't aware of this, I dunno whether anyone else was... Thanks for that heads-up ;) Quote
CaveMan Posted October 10, 2006 Posted October 10, 2006 i noticed this too also when i click the little buttons to view the latest posts (ill make screenie later) it sometimes says no latest post (but in better words for describing it) Quote
gameman733 Posted October 10, 2006 Posted October 10, 2006 Yeah, I've seen similar bugs in other forums. As far as how to fix it, not a clue :) Quote
jool Posted October 10, 2006 Posted October 10, 2006 If you're really sneaky you can look at the posts too without being an admin. One leet point to the one who figures it out first :) Quote
CaveMan Posted October 10, 2006 Posted October 10, 2006 installing SMF may fix it... but changing forum software is a little extreme Quote
jool Posted October 10, 2006 Posted October 10, 2006 So no one could figure it out? Or maybe it's just because I'm in a weird timezone and everyone else is sleeping/working? Aaanyways, here's how to read posts from the hidden forum. 1. Go to the search page2. Write in the name of an admin you want to stalk in the author field 3. Select the super secret moderator forum called General 4. Select to display results as posts 5. Finally set it to return all available characters of the posts Don't know if this is a problem with the software or if someone just was sloppy when they created the hidden forum. Maybe there is some setting to remove it from the search? So what do I get for compromising the integrity of the moderator forum? :) Quote

I was thinking along those lines but I was at school so couldn't check it out. *stalks Moonlit* ;) Quote
