iptables rules saved are not persistent across reboots

Am I missing something or do I have a problem?

any iptables rules I create and then save with iptables-save aren't there after a reboot.

this was consistently the case on 2.8.0 and I thought I'd wait until an upgrade to see if that made a difference.

I upgraded today to 2.8.1 and no change.

Any ideas?

You'll need to load them in on reboot again. Just add it to your /etc/rc.local
