Hello, I wonder if there is another way to install Catalyst ATI Drivers on kali linux, I tried this guide several times http://www.kalilinux.net/community/threads/solved-how-to-install-ati-drivers-in-kali-linux.108/ but I get pulling hairs off with that because my computer won't boot anymore avery try...

I have a Radeon 6950 and I want to set pyrit with amd sdk 2.8 and cal++, but without drivers this will be no possible...

Plase let me know some alternative...

Thanks for any help...

When your system boots, edit the boot and add the option nomodeset and then boot. After that you should be able to address your driver issue.

If using grub and not set for single sign on directly to a command prompt or already logged in. Might need to load a live disc and edit the boot config to add it depending on how you set it up. ATI has a DRM issue with some cards that still seems to be an issue even with Kali, which was present in BT4 through 5. When in doubt though, hit their official documentation site docs.kali.org Edited by digip
