Clean Flash half done

Hi I recently got my AP121u and usb uart adapter I have followed the wiki and had no problems up to issuing

bootm 0x9f650000

it reboots and just goes into a loop and no matter how many times a press enter I can't get a command prompt to continue.

I don't see any issues in putty but going off the clean flash video where the video goes to a prompt mine just continues to boot,

Any help is appreciated I'm assuming I'm missing something , Thanks.

Edit: I forgot to add when I press enter I get the prompt but the router continues booting.

Thanks for the quick reply, I tried that but I'm still having the same problem no matter how many times i press it I get a prompt either root@(none):/# or root@Hornet:/# but the router just keeps booting in a loop.

Have you connected the RX and TX lines the right way around?

Also, I find that GND has to be connected, otherwise it does not register any keystrokes on the pineapple (only the terminal (false positive)).

Thanks, I have all readable text on screen its not garbled so im assuming I have tx and rx the right way round and it is getting keystrokes as I have already flashed kernel.bin and rootfs.bin and I can get into failsafe mode etc everything seems to be fine I just cant get it to stop booting so I can use the command line.

Edit: I just switched the tx and rx around to try it but I get nothing in putty

Thanks for the pointers I managed to find someone with the same problem and I swear I searched first lol I've been stuck at this point all day this is a link to the thread incase someone else runs into the same problem http://forums.hak5.org/index.php?/topic/27763-trouble-flashing-the-ap121u-with-factory-binaries/

basically you need to disconnect the VDD/3.3v lead and use the power supply instead and that worked first time I had to use a plug adapter because I'm in the UK but the PSU is a USA one.

I have now run into another problem lol everything flashed right and everything went exactly as the wiki and video but I cant access the web interface using http://172.16.42.1/pineapple/ when I put that address into chrome it changes the url to http://172.16.42.1/pineapple/redirect.php and it just keeps flashing up waiting for 172.16.42.1 and the stop/refresh button on the browser just keeps flashing like its just constantly retrying anyone any ideas, thanks again for the help.

Edit: Finally I'm sorted I had to use 172.16.42.1:1471 to get to the web interface now to learn to use it, Is this normal btw its just all the tutorials I've seen just say goto http://172.16.42.1/pineapple/ thanks.

Were you flashing on battery? It really requires 12V and not the 5 most batteries/USB will supply. The wiki said do not flash on battery.

Also change logs ftw :P for the port change on the UI.

Hi I'm sorry about the late reply windows 8 didn't like connection sharing so I've finally just sorted that, I used the usb uart adapter 3.3v pin to power the board at first then I used the power supply when I found out that was the issue I didn't use a battery thanks for the heads up about the change notes i hadn't realised that, Now I'm going to get stuck into learning how to use it.
