Foxtrot
Hey guys, I was planning to make my own USB to DC cable for the sake of DIY, and just wanted to double check that if i got a standard Type A USB, and the + went to the + on the DC Jack, and the - to the - on the jack, Would everything work okay? Cheers, -Foxtrot
Mr-Protocol
As long as your + goes to the center pin on your DC Plug then it should work.

d1000
HI, I'm also trying to do a USB to DC but for my hub usb. I'm using a 3mm jack power and need to connect to a USB type A. The jack is + in center but I don't know how to map to USB internal conectores. Anyone has the diagram to this cable? Also, it needs to hold 2A. Thanks! I believe the normal USB cable, only allow 500 mA normally. In my case, the Anker 3 10000mha output 2A and I should juice the hub with 2A to ensure there is no underpowered issues. Does anyone knows if this could limit the juice to 500mA?

The USB Socket by standard only does 500ma, the cable imposes no limits on the power going down the wire. -Foxtrot Edited February 19, 2013 by Foxtrot
