hi all

I appreciate the help, buy a few days ago a WiFi Pineapple, I tried to set it up and nothing, I failed to enter the configuration panel, the steps I followed are:

- I connect to the pc via wifi pineapple PoE / LAN

- Share the wireless Ethernet connection

- I set the static IP 172.16.42.42 and the mask 255.255.255.0, gateway blank, and DNS server 8.8.8.8.

- Join the browser to the address listed or http://172.16.42.1/pineapple http://172.16.42.1:1471/

And there is no connection, I've tried with Linux, backtrack and opensuse with wl wp4.sh and nothing, I can not get into the settings and do not understand why.

I do everything just the way it says in the guide http://cloud.wifipineapple.com/wiki/doku.php?id=guidequickstart

:-) thanks for replying, I did the same procedure as in the video, step by step, my problem is at minute 5:51 of the video, when you open the link http://172.16.42.1/pineapple not open, the screen goes blank and displays the message "... failed to connect", not if my WiFi Pineapple is blank, the truth is that I will be doing no wrong.

the router works well, has ip 192.168.2.1 Hornet.

I tried from a virtual machine and does not work.

How come empty factory?, Will there be any problem if I press the reset button?

regards

Looks like your pineapple is not flashed with the pineapple firmware. did u get this from the shop?

hello and thank you, and send an email to give me solution, wait until you meet me. :-)

Did you patch into the POE/LAN port on the Pineapple? It needs to be in the POE/LAN port not WAN. If you just want to get into it to get it set up you can try plugging ethernet from your home router to the WAN port on the Pineapple. Look in your home router to see what IP it DHCPed and browse http://192.168.X.X:1471 . *** The Xs represent your LAN enviroment *** The last guys Pineapple that I helped set up was on 2.6.4 or something from Hakshop so MOST likly yours might be that way as well. So try :1471 and just to make sure try /pineapple. If you are still having trouble then add my Skype "stealthkit" and I will try my best to get you working.

Hello and thanks for the help, connect to WiFi router pineapple through the WAN port, my router will assign the IP 192.168.2.2 on that ground from my computer and go to http:/ http://192.168.2.2:1471 / 192.168.2.2/pineapple and nothing, no connection, by elimination, just to discard, go from there to 172.16.42.1 and less, no ping response, to which if I can get it to the router, and if you connect a PC LAN port and connect to the WiFi Router-Internet pineapple and works perfect, assigned DHCP address 192.168.2.X.
Excuse my translation but my native language is Spanish.

If you need to reflash it from the ground up over serial. Original factory files and then flash the pineapple firmware. I got tutorials on that.

Have you tried ssh into the router using the 192.168.2.2 ? use default user:root and password:pineapplesareyummy

What kind of computer are you using to connect to the pineapple (I have dealt with people using macs to connect)
