Mark IV and 3G HUAWEI 1750 + microSD 2GB - Not mounting SD partitions

d1000

Recommended Posts

Hi folks, i'm using my huawei 1750 with a simple 2GB microsd card and couldn't mount the sd partitions. I follow Darren thread preparing the sd partitions and also tried some inputs from other members in that thread. Any help will be much appreciated.

Pineapple Hardware Version (ex: Mark III, Mark IV, etc.): MK4

Pineapple Software Version (ex: 2.5.0, 2.6.4): 2.7.1

OS used to connect to the pineapple: Win8

All the tools/options that are running on the pineapple when the issue happened: Stock

Ping results from computer to pineapple: OK

Is the problem repeatable (Yes/No): Yes

Steps taken which created the problem: Just plug the hauwei 1750 with 2gb sd card, and dont mount the two EXT4 partitions

Error Messages: Dont find any

Log file information: Above in spoiler

Anything else that was attempted to 'fix' the problem: Follow the Darren's thread http://forums.hak5.org/index.php?/topic/25882-how-to-enable-usb-mass-storage-with-swap-partition/ and also modified to sg0 and sg1 where sda1 and sd2 were (also not working)

Not sure whats going on but looks like (from dmesg and /dev/s*) that the sdcard is mapping to /dev/sda, im not seeing any partitions.

Can you try to mount /dev/sda ? or fdisk /dev/sda?

mount using the fstab conf?

Like this?

config global automount

option from_fstab 1

option anon_mount 1

config global autoswap

option from_fstab 1

option anon_swap 0

config mount

option target /usb

option device /dev/sda

option fstype ext4

option options rw,sync

option enabled 1

option enabled_fsck 0

config swap

option device /dev/sg1

option enabled 0

Sorry I wasnt clear earlier.

Can you either mount the sda drive on the pineapple / another linux OS.

it looks like the sdcard is assigned to /dev/sda, it could be 1 large partition or it could be that the sdcard is not formatted.

commands:

mkdir /mnt/test

mount /dev/sda /mnt/test

or

fdisk /dev/sda

1 - I plug to Linux and the volumes appear mounted stable
2 - I unmounted the volumes
3 - Plug to MK4 with same fstab config, they mount and appear in resources, but could use to install or appear as valid location when you choose to install infusions/modules.

Bring the pen to Linux again, in fdisk and disk utility appears like this:

21d21rt.png

33xhetz.png

Also tried to mount volumes and move to MK4, and unmount volumes and move to MK4, same behavior...

I don't understand...

hmm, my mate hasn't returned my pineapple, to see if i can duplicate your results - odd.

For the moment I'm stuck! and cant fathom it; maybe some-other pineapple expert can spot something i missed?

:) thxs midS!

Will wait for further inputs or experiences? I'm stuck over here. Will try next week using an Anker + usb hub + pen drive + pen 3 without microsd, juicing only Pineapple with 9V...

Cheers

Well well well :)

Now it mounts the FIRST partition ONLY, almost there! I wonder why...

Hi webdirector,

Will post my fstab no prob asap. But in my case, I could mount one of the two partitions and when try to use disappeared again. Still waiting for a working usb hub to identify if was a power issue like most of this problem.

Will post it today or tomorrow, sorry for the delay.

Cheers,

D1000
