Once I have inserted my usb into a freshly flashed pineapple it won't stop saying online? Even if I remove my usb stick and restart?

EDIT:

May not be related to usb. I can see a process under the resources tab autossh and for some reason I can't kill it??

I really tried and I cannot reproduce this issue. I am SSHd into the pineapple, I have a USB plugged in, I started the reverse SSH connection, killed it again over the UI - all working as it should. I was able to SSH in from my server, disconnecting over the pineapple UI worked and it doesn't say that it is still connected. If someone has a "step by step" for me to follow to be able to reproduce.. Just making sure, this is on 2.7.3, yeah?

Do you see something in the logs?

digging the infusion download progress bar!

Thanks! Sucks that it is only the download indicator but working on something for the extraction.

Also have the SSH online problem. No USB inserted at all after upgrade

EDIT: Also having the USB issue. Cannot seem to access the drive while SSH'ed in, drive is not mapping to /usb.

The USB issue? I also can't reproduce it and others don't seem to have an issue with USB storage either.

I am also receiving the SSH Connection status, just after restarting the Pineapple. It appears that autossh is starting or attempting to start the connection:

00:01:00 Pineapple kern.info kernel: [ 60.790000] br-lan: port 1(eth0) entered forwarding state
00:00:59 Pineapple user.info autossh[2008]: starting ssh (count 5)
00:00:59 Pineapple user.info autossh[2008]: starting ssh (count 4)
00:00:59 Pineapple user.info autossh[2008]: starting ssh (count 3)
00:00:59 Pineapple user.info autossh[2008]: starting ssh (count 2)
00:00:59 Pineapple user.info autossh[2008]: starting ssh (count 1)
00:00:59 Pineapple user.info autossh[2008]: ssh exited with error status 1; restarting ssh
00:00:59 Pineapple user.info autossh[2008]: ssh exited with error status 1; restarting ssh

00:00:59 Pineapple daemon.notice netifd: wan (2004): udhcpc (v1.19.4) st

Then I see it doing the following:

00:01:10 Pineapple authpriv.warn dropbear[2336]: Failed listening on '22': Error listening: Address already in use
00:01:10 Pineapple authpriv.info dropbear[2336]: Premature exit: No listening ports available.

00:01:09 Pineapple user.info autossh[2008]: ssh child pid is 2253

And lastly, these seemed relevent as well:

15:37:10 Pineapple user.info autossh[2008]: starting ssh (count 8)
15:37:10 Pineapple user.info autossh[2008]: ssh exited with error status 1; restarting ssh
15:37:10 Pineapple user.info autossh[2008]: ssh child pid is 2432
00:01:13 Pineapple user.info sysinit: sh: write error: Invalid argument
00:01:13 Pineapple user.info sysinit: sh: write error: Invalid argument

Hope that helps.

Random Roll doesn't seem to be working correctly with the new 2.7.3.

Possible. As this is still a dev release, it isn't stable yet. Some modules will not work until 2.7.5 - Infusion repository switch. Once that is done, only development modules will be available.

Till then, only stable modules are available, sorry!

Don't worry though, this is a quick process.

No worries, these updates to the firmware are amazing! I can't wait to see the new 3.0 features and UI. Drooool

Thanks to everyone for devoting their time and efforts!

Its very much appreciated.

I have made some fixes and uploaded as a development build. if it was stable it would break anyone on

EDIT

I have tried installing 2.7.3 on another pineapple and same, shows ssh as online

Just to let you guys know that urlsnarf is not working on my mk4 2.7.3. It says is started, but do not create any log and when I click refresh on Output tab is says "urlsnarf is not running..."

This is a problem related to the urlsnarf module. Please post in each module thread for bugs.

That said, my module have only been tested for stable branch. I have to test them with the 2.7.3 release ;)

Finally - after many restarts and re-flashes I was able to also get the "SSH online" bug. Fix has been found that will solve the issue and will be in the next version.

The next version will also include the bump to the dev repository. This means that modules may be missing until developers add them to the development repository.

  • 2 weeks later...

2.7.4 will be up shortly.

It has the SSH bug fixed (for a while now, just needed to resolve some other issues) and a couple of other small bugs squashed.

The next version up will have the module repository switch allowing for all modules to work (as long as they have been submitted properly).
