Madkat
I'm trying to get on my web irc located at www.localhosttv.org and i get the following error: "Connecting... Unable to connect : java.net.ConnectException : Connection refused: connect " Is this the content filtering system blocking it, or is there a problem with the way the comp is configured?? Thanks!!! cooper
Unless an applet has been signed, the sandbox will not allow your local machine to connect to any remote machine other than the one the applet is hosted on. What you're trying to do won't work, and won't work by design.
PoyBoy
Says who? Design sucks

Guest Panarchy
You could always try using mIRC! What's so bad about using that program?
cooper
Well, for starters, the program isn't the problem. Didn't you read the thread? The port is blocked. Changing the program won't change the fact that the port the server is listening at cannot be reached.
