cagapiou Posted December 6, 2012 Share Posted December 6, 2012 I am running Linux Mint 13 from a USB stick, with internet connection via wifi and the Pineapple connected to the ethernet card. When I run the wp4.sh script I get the following response: _ ___ _______ ____ _ __ | | / (_) ____(_) / __ \(_)___ ___ ____ _____ ____ / /__ | | /| / / / /_ / / / /_/ / / __ \/ _ \/ __ '/ __ \/ __ \/ / _ \ | |/ |/ / / __/ / / / ____/ / / / / __/ /_/ / /_/ / /_/ / / __/ |__/|__/_/_/ /_/ /_/ /_/_/ /_/\___/\__,_/ .___/ .___/_/\___/ OWN the Network /_/ /_/ v2.1 Pineapple Netmask [255.255.255.0]: Pineapple Network [172.16.42.0/24]: Interface between PC and Pineapple [eth0]: Interface between PC and Internet [wlan0]: Internet Gateway [172.16.42.1]: IP Address of Host PC [172.16.42.42]: IP Address of Pineapple [172.16.42.1]: _ . ___ \||/ Internet: 172.16.42.1 - wlan0 ( _ )_ <--> [___] <--> ,<><>, Computer: 172.16.42.42 (_ _(_ ,) \___\ '<><>' Pineapple: 172.16.42.0/24 - eth0 SIOCDELRT: No such process SIOCADDRT: No such process Can anybody help me please with the above errors? Mr-Protocol Posted December 6, 2012 Share Posted December 6, 2012 Did you run it as root? Also your title is misleading. Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
Sebkinne Posted December 6, 2012 Share Posted December 6, 2012 First of all, of course run the script as root. I do assume you have done that already. Personally I also get those errors - Ubuntu 12.04 here. What I figured out by observation (never bothered to look into it), is that: 1 of those errors = all is good, everything works (hence why I never bothered). 2 of those errors = not good. I am on a different network range than I tell the script to be (when I switch locations and don't update the script etc). That might or might not help. Even if you are getting the errors, give it a shot, it may still work. We really need to clean that script up a bit in terms of error handling.. cagapiou Posted December 6, 2012 Author Share Posted December 6, 2012 Many thanks to all of you. Indeed I logged in as root and the error message has now disappeared. However, now I can't log on to pineapple at: 172.16.42.1/pineapple I get the error message: Firefox can't establish a connection to the server at 172.16.42.1. Any more ideas, please. Thanks again for your kind help. Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
