1. I'd use Parted Magic, or whatever you use, to delete the partions and create them again on the USB drive.

2. Make sure you've edited the fstab option for using swap from a 0 to a 1

3. Plug the USB drive directly into the pineapple. i.e. don't use a USB hub

4. issue the mkswap /dev/sda2 command and then reboot the pineapple

5. check the resources tab and you should see at the top your swap space in use

You by chance using that little 4 gig sandisk cruizer that comes with the ultras elites?

i was having similar issues until it quit working all together with the mk4.. the thing works fine plugged into a computer, but the usb indicator light on the mk4 doesnt even come on anymore when i plug it in.

switched to a different flash drive.. workin like a champ now
