Using The Pineapple Without Internet Connection

I would like to know if there was any way to use the pineapple without any internet connection. I want to have it in my bag, powered by a battery pack, creating an open wifi hotspot that runs the web server. I got everything on the webserver set up, including DNS spoof on startup, and it works completly fine with my laptop and a shared connection. As it doesn't really need that connection, I see no problem in it running stand-alone. For some reason, it doesn't though. The hotspot only works with an internet connection. I have tried quite a few things already, but with me not being an expert on this topic, I could not find any solution.

Yes, it should work without the need to actually share an internet connection. You should be able to run the pineapple from the battery pack without anything connected to it. To test it you can log onto the "Pineapple" SSID, or whatever you've set it up to be, and type in a website into your browser. Assuming you have the DNS redirecting set up correctly, going to a specific website should redirect you to whatever internal website you have on your pineapple web server.

The Randomroll module works by editing the files for you to redirect ALL websites to the internal webserver and that definately works without an internet connection.

Well, I set up my pineapple to work without any further input, but it still only works with a shared internet connection, it starts the hotspot right after plugging in the cable.

Edit: Oh well, now it works fine after a full reset. I don't know what I changed, but that doesn't matter, now it works.
