moonlit Posted October 3, 2006 Posted October 3, 2006 I've heard that you can't get the old way back... Quote
PoyBoy Posted October 3, 2006 Posted October 3, 2006 Pah! These tarnell young whippersnappers and their menus! Why, I remember when I was your age and had windows 98!! Get off my lawn!!! </psuedo old guy rant> Quote
ChevronX Posted October 3, 2006 Author Posted October 3, 2006 meh darn, I hate the new way of things. Images here: http://images.google.co.nz/images?q=Office...sa=N&tab=wi Quote
Sparda Posted October 3, 2006 Posted October 3, 2006 You know what else strikes me as stupid? OpenOffice has had contextual menus since version 1. Quote
Garda Posted October 3, 2006 Posted October 3, 2006 The first of the twit network's podcasts (i'm so not saying netcast) on windows had extensive coverage on the new office. you can't change the menus, :( Quote
VaKo Posted October 3, 2006 Posted October 3, 2006 Why would you want to change them? They look cool... Quote
ChevronX Posted October 3, 2006 Author Posted October 3, 2006 They look cool for those whom are nubs. Quote
VaKo Posted October 3, 2006 Posted October 3, 2006 See, thats why anything gui wise thats souly designed by geeks looks like a windows 95 reject. You all have no sense of style ;-) Quote
PoyBoy Posted October 3, 2006 Posted October 3, 2006 What is its function? How well Does it do it? Quote
VaKo Posted October 3, 2006 Posted October 3, 2006 (src: Wikimedia) http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Microsoft_Off...2007#The_Ribbon Basically its a pretty contextual menu that replaces the dropdown menus. Personally I like the new style, fits well with vista and kinda looks like a renegade band of Apple designers stormed Redmond. Quote
Sparda Posted October 3, 2006 Posted October 3, 2006 Why did that remind me of Google calender when I saw it? Quote
