shifty2112
My pineapple constantly reboots and resets. An example, the SSLStrip will be running and then just crash and reboot the pineapple. I reboot go in and click on say URLSnarf, i start that and bam, it reboots. Anyone else getting problems with there pineapple being unstable? Also, running sslstrip completely messes up facebook and will not let me logon and capture the username and pass. I know it is stipping the SSL stuff and the page is being reformatted. Anyone have any suggestions on what to check to keep it stable?

shifty2112
Pineapple Hardware Version: Mark IV Pineapple Software Version: 2.6.4 OS used to connect to the pineapple: Linux Ubuntu Network layout of how your setup is connected (including IP information): 172.16.42.1 Pineapple, 172.16.42.42 Linux, WLAN0 connected to WIFI in house grabbing IP 192.168.1.71 All the tools/options that are running on the pineapple when the issue happened: Karma, URLSnarf (sometimes) Ping results from computer to pineapple: Success Is the problem repeatable (Yes/No): Yes Steps taken which created the problem: Reinstalled SSL Strip, unplugged USB drive and plugged back in. I then have to also run ifconfig eth0 172.16.42.42 netmask 255.255.255.0 up to get back connected to Pineapple after it reboots Error Messages: System just reboots, no errors pop up on screen. I then have to re-enable network card after reboot too. Log file information: Where do I grab that? Anything else that was attempted to 'fix' the problem: Nothing yet

Mr-Protocol
What functions will I lose going to 2.5.0 ? I want to be able to use SSLStrip, URLSnarf, and RandomRoll http://cloud.wifipin...dex.php?changes At least you will be able to see if the Stable firmware works for you device. Also make sure it doesn't get too hot.
shifty2112
Ok, went to 2.5.0 and so far stable, but question for you, I am using the facebook app on my phone, if I have SSLStrip turned on, I cannot logon to facebook. Is this by design and anyway to get around this? How about a way to only strip from certain sites and not all? So many questions. Been studying and learning about this device for about a month now. Been in IT for about 20 years. So I do understand the process of how networking works very well. Just not good with all these tools yet. So learning this is a new area for me. Mr-Protocol
SSLStrip will attempt to strip all connections on the listening port you redirect with the iptables commands. Also a lot of sites may use HSTS http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/HTTP_Strict_Transport_Security
