stepking2 Posted September 19, 2012 Posted September 19, 2012 (edited) So, the problem I have is that Ubuntu, specifically network related proccesses, kills my monitor interface, so I can't capture any packets (handshake, spesifically). When running Airmon-ng, it says that some proccesses can stop Airodump-ng, Aireplay-ng etc. from working. I've tried killing those proccesses, but no change. Then I tried stopping networking, both with init.d and service. Service did not stop anything and init.d killed Unity. So, does anybody have a clue? Edited September 19, 2012 by stepking2 Quote
Jamo Posted September 19, 2012 Posted September 19, 2012 You need to stop network-manager so it won't interfere with aircrack-ng suite. service stop network-manager[/CODE] should work :) Quote
stepking2 Posted September 19, 2012 Author Posted September 19, 2012 I tried that, didn't work. But I think I've found the problem. Airodump-ng isn't reporting that it has found a handshake, but looking through the pcap file comfirms all EAPOL messages and the file is not damaged. Quote
