WatskeBart Posted August 21, 2012 Posted August 21, 2012 What about a extra navbar beneath the existing one, for pinned modules? :) Maybe with a delicious yellow infusion bg color :P Pins on the existing navbar looks a bit cluttered when having a lot of them.
Sebkinne Posted August 21, 2012 Posted August 21, 2012 WatskeBart, We are actually making changes to the UI soon which will give modules a much more prominent existence in the UI. Until we get the time to finish working on the new UI, UI changes like this will probably not happen that quickly. The wait will be worth it though! Best Regards, Sebkinne
WatskeBart Posted August 22, 2012 Author Posted August 22, 2012 The wait will be worth it though! It always is :D Will the module installation process be changed as well?
Sebkinne Posted August 22, 2012 Posted August 22, 2012 It always is :D Will the module installation process be changed as well? Yeah, a bit. Multi install, persistent through upgrades etc.
WatskeBart Posted August 22, 2012 Author Posted August 22, 2012 Yeah, a bit. Multi install, persistent through upgrades etc. 'Doing a little disco dancing' :D
Whistle Master Posted August 22, 2012 Posted August 22, 2012 Yeah, a bit. Multi install, persistent through upgrades etc. Will those changes impact the modules in some way ?
Sebkinne Posted August 23, 2012 Posted August 23, 2012 Will those changes impact the modules in some way ? They will. Modules will have to hook into an API we are developing. Or at least this is the concept. But don't worry, not many changes will be needed. Also, your module does not have to follow the API, if it doesn't, it simply stays a standalone module. But trust me, the change, wait and work is worth it. Best Regards, Sebkinne
Sebkinne Posted September 15, 2012 Posted September 15, 2012 For now, modules are on a new line in the navbar. The new UI will change things but that is a different topic. Thread locked. Best Regards, Sebkinne
