WKaibigan
I have just tried to do a clean flash on a Hornet-UB board. It is just the bare bones board as purchased with no antenna attached. During the beginning of the process as per Mr Protocol's guide, I see the option menu but that flashes by with some other messages until it gets to a point where I get the message ath_bstuck_tasklet: Stuck beacon; resetting (bmiss count....) This just carries on. Has anybody else come across that? Do you reckon it is because there is no antenna attached? Cheers.
FunkyMrMagic
Nope. I bought a bare board before I got my first Alfa. Took me flippin' ages to get the connection working to flash it, but there was plenty of time on the menu once I did. What's your setup like? Mr-Protocol
See if you can hit the menu option before it boots up with the installed firmware. From a quick google, at first glance it seems the firmware that is on it already is screwy, I could be wrong. I don't have my antenna on mine (the PCB Hornet-UB). WKaibigan
Pressed the 1 key as quickly as possible after plugging the power lead in and got to the prompt. Board now flashed. Cheers :-)

Cheers :-) Yeah, it has like a 5 second timer delay before it boots from on-board flash. Grats on the flash.
