Wireless Adapter With Ubuntu (In Virtualbox)

Since Virtualbox only uses my host connection (when using my wireless card/ethernet) I am curious if it would be possible to use a USB adapter with it instead so that I can see the networks from within the guest machine, etc... Obviously it would be really easy to test if I had one with me, but I don't, and it would take a significant amount of resources to obtain one where I live. Is this possible?

If it's possible, I'd be getting the AWUS036H or another ALFA.
