Molotof Posted July 20, 2012 Posted July 20, 2012 It's something on my mind for a while now, if it's open source can we please have the source so we can experiment with it. Quote
bobbyb1980 Posted July 20, 2012 Posted July 20, 2012 PIneapple firmware isn't that difficult to make, even if it is closed source it shouldn't be hard to build an imitation from scratch and do whatever it is you want to do with it from there. Quote
Molotof Posted July 20, 2012 Author Posted July 20, 2012 The Jasager code that is on dijininja is not updated, plus that would not help developing for the current stream of the firmware. Seems like i am getting the cold shoulder to the question.... anyways.... Quote
Darren Kitchen Posted July 21, 2012 Posted July 21, 2012 The WiFi Pineapple is open source, as is Jasager - the driver that hosts the Karma function of the unit. For a while we hosted WiFiPineapple.com on github where the source resided though that became cumbersome and we ended up rolling our own CMS at cloud.wifipineapple.com. It's on our agenda to address this issue with the next major release, which I think everyone will love :) Quote
Anton Posted July 21, 2012 Posted July 21, 2012 next major release, :D oh boy can't wait! and here i was thinking 2.4.1 couldn't get any better! :D Quote
Molotof Posted July 21, 2012 Author Posted July 21, 2012 Thank you Darren for clarifying the situation :) Quote
kaner Posted December 20, 2012 Posted December 20, 2012 Any idea on the open source release date? Will the Buildroot config file be included in that release? Quote
