BryceThomas
In my last post I asked about using the Wi-Fi Pineapple as a passive monitor mode device. airodump-ng was suggested and I've managed to get some packet capture working with it, to a USB drive. However, there are a few things airodump-ng won't do that tshark will, and so I would like to install tshark onto my Wi-Fi Pineapple if possible. I have tried executing opkg install --dest usb tshark but get Unknown package 'tshark'. Collected errors: * opkg_install_cmd: Cannot install package tshark. I am guessing this means tshark is not one of the standard packages available in the opkg repository. Is there any other way I can get tshark installed on my Wi-Fi Pineapple? Cheers, Bryce. iceman_3233
No Wireshark or tshark in the repos. The only one I see is Kismet. I've installed it to my usb for now. The OPKG manager module is handy to install and preview available packages.

lester
The advantage of tshark is that you can selectively filter out certain patterns and it has a feature that allows it to overwrite files after a certain number of megabyte have been collected, therefore you never fill up your recording device. It would be great to somehow get a port of it to the pineapple.
