Just upgraded to firmware version 2.3.1 from 1.0.1 and I noticed the Reaver binary is no longer present. Just curious as to why it wasn't included, or am I missing something?

Thanks!

As reaver is currently not working properly on OpenWRT, reaver has been taken out of the firmware.

We are hopeful to get this working very soon though!

OK so I got reaver to work on the MK4!

1. install reaver through the opkg package manager, It was just recently added opkg update; opkg install reaver

2. make sure karma is not running and issue ifconfig wlan0 down; ifconfig mon.wlan0 down; ifconfig wlan0 up; airmon-ng start wlan0

3. airodump-ng mon0 and find your bssid of the station to test, remember to test your own equipment

4. reaver -i mon0 -b 00:00:00:00:00:00 -vv

and reaver should now channel hop and brute force keys:-D

EDIT:

the alfa NHA works but using just the ac adapter powering the pineapple was not enough, would get to the channel then hang and reset the adapter, using my astro 3 battery works great

Yup,

Reaver is now officially supported in OpenWRT. (Since 44 hours actually)

ok, the 2 of you know WAY more than I so please advise;

When using a 3g modem w/ sdCard, how do I get opkg to do its magic? it wants to work with the 'usb' directory, but with a sdcard there is not a 'usb' directory, it's /mnt/sdb1;2;sdc1;2 etc, etc

here is the error message from opkg:

Collected errors:

* make_directory: Cannot create directory `/usb//usr': Read-only file system.

* make_directory: Cannot create directory `/usb//usr': Read-only file system.

* opkg_conf_write_status_files: Can't open status file /usb//usr/lib/opkg/status: No such file or directory.

I'll dig around, perhaps there is some elusive opkg_config file I'll happen upon. But I would really appreciate any guidance.

Thanx, I love this thing...

Now that reaver is working will it be implemented in the gui in upcoming firmware or is someone going to make a module for it?

This one is on my TODO list of modules. ;)

Like there are no modules by Whistle Master already? ;)

Looking forward to it! :)
