Mark Vi Pineapple Question

Alright so i figured out that the Pineapple is really just a Alfa Networks AP/Router with a modded firmware inside it was checking the alfa network site on this device cause im curious to know what the USB port on the front of the device is able to be used for.

Is it to give power to the device or is it used for transferring data? I wasn't able to get the Data Sheet from alfa network some reason there FTP was password protected so couldn't download it to read the manual on this device.
