jdogherman
:( Im not sure if this is a big deal to anyone but the Mark IV pineapple is not true POE as used in cisco switches, instead only for the poe injector used by this POE ADAPTER. Mr-Protocol
It is a Passive PoE. PoE: 12V Passive PoE http://www.alfa.com.tw/in/front/bin/ptdetail.phtml?Part=AP121U&Category=0 Numerous devices exist which make use of positive power received on pins 4 and 5 of the Ethernet cable, with negative return on pins 7 and 8. In the common "passive" PoE system the injector does not communicate with the powered device to negotiate its wattage requirements, but merely supplies power. So no negotiation. Just have to know it's 12V and give it 12V.

telot
So no negotiation. Just have to know it's 12V and give it 12V. Or as low as 5V. But anyways, theres no need to buy a POE box - just DIY! Heres a link for a great POE cable...or perhaps the GREATEST poe cable. telot.org/poe.html telot
