1nfex Posted May 17, 2012 Share Posted May 17, 2012 Greetings! So.. after upgrading my new mk4 to 2.0.0 I changed the root pw via the gui and am now locked out. Do I have any options other than returning it or buying a serial console adapter/cable and flashing? It appears the reset button does nothing.. I've tried for 5 seconds, 10 seconds, as power is plugged in, etc.. I suspect that wouldn't reset the root pw anyways... anyone? Much thanks! JimJensen Posted May 17, 2012 Share Posted May 17, 2012 I had the same problem. I got frustrated unplugged the power and left it until the next day. When I powered it on it worked with the password I created. Try unplugged it for a while. Maybe it will work the same for you as it did for me. Why don't you script something to use the WPS button to hit your tftp to grab the *.bin and update? There is a way to program a script to run on WPS button push. There is a way to program a script to run on WPS button push. I definitely intend to do that when my TTL converter shows up and I get it flashed and usable again. 1905 Posted May 19, 2012 Share Posted May 19, 2012 now i've got the same problem. updatet from firmware 1.1.1 to 2.0.0, mark4 doesen't boot, only the power led is on and the wps led flashes. pressing the resetbutton doesen't matter, nothing happens. next week i reflash the mark4 via rs232 and i hope its successfull.
