idoc
I came accross Safebox Safebox website for Dropbox for encypting my dropbox while surfing a german website Tentacle Tentacle website. The source is availible on github link to code it uses pycrypt. Safebox only released a Mac and PC version the problem is I like many of us use dropbox with my android phone and Linux (Kubuntu 12.04 and Mint KDE. It seems that a linux and android client would not be difficult to compile.. I have seen Darren use pycrypt many times for several projects! This is beyond my abilities.. anyone want to try???? This will allow us to have a multiplatform solution to encrypt dropbox!
digip
I would just install ZIP or WINRAR libraries on linux and set a 30 character password for your files in a zip or rar file, then upload to dropbox. Sure, someone could crack the password, but 30 more more characters, even with GPU computing would still take them like 10 years to do it.
