But... when I'm in the pineapple web intefrace, the device can't connect to anywhere outside the local lan. Quote

Make sure the cable from the ICS host is plugged into the PoE port. /etc/init.d/firewall disable /etc/init.d/firewall stop You will have internet on the Pineapple after setting this up properly. xorred Posted April 20, 2012 Author Posted April 20, 2012 (edited) ICS was set up. LAN port was 42.42, the commands you suggested were suggested by others before you and that did not help. In order to obtain internet connection I had to plug my Router's LAN port to the WAN port of the pineapple - so it would get dhcp ip from my router and have internet. intertan Posted April 22, 2012 Posted April 22, 2012 I had the same issue it was a firewall issue. since my wlan on my pc is setup to home network and my Ethernet is a public network i disabled the firewall on public networks but kept it on for home/work networks. I would like to see if I can just disable the firewall on the Ethernet port and no matter what network I connect to with my laptop the wlan is always fire walled. Quote
