Usb Wirless Adapter On Mkiv

I am wondering if it would be possible to use an sl-1501n with RT8188CUS chipset connected to the USB port of the MKIV to provide internet? It would be a great way to eliminate the need for ICS, and mitigate the cost of 3G.

I'm working on getting this going for Ath9k-htc chipsets http://linuxwireless.org/en/users/Drivers/ath9k_htc , Specifically the AR9271. I've run into some setup issues but I'll post back if I have any success.
