Darren Kitchen Posted September 18, 2006 Posted September 18, 2006 I guess if you missed out the first time around it's not too late to grab one. http://cgi.ebay.com/Adv-of-Superman-648-si...1QQcmdZViewItem Note: I am not affiliated with this auction, I only find it amusing that it's selling for such a high price. This is not encouragement to bid. Quote
wetelectric Posted September 18, 2006 Posted September 18, 2006 that is funny. Pissed u didnt have the idea? ;) /me goes to make a 500,000 bid ...i keed...i keed edit: i thought the $1500 price was due to bids...but no, that the *asking* price.... bwhahaha Quote
Matir Posted September 18, 2006 Posted September 18, 2006 You've made the big time now... 4 digit auctions. :) Quote
moonlit Posted September 18, 2006 Posted September 18, 2006 AU $200.00 Air Mail United States, United Kingdom, Canada, New Zealand ...wtf? Quote
cooper Posted September 18, 2006 Posted September 18, 2006 Didn't you hear? That's how they screw you over on eBay these days. You pay a price that seems reasonable at face value, and then it turns out you also need to pay the shipping, which wasn't included in the amount, and the number listed there is, in a word, excessive. So I guess this guy is going for the double-penetration. You get fucked by the downright moronic item price, and you get fucked in the ass by the shipping fee. Quote
Famicoman Posted September 18, 2006 Posted September 18, 2006 Good luck getting hits on a grand. Quote
comcipher Posted September 18, 2006 Posted September 18, 2006 Only a total idiot would bid on this item. It would be cool to have, but not for $1,000+ . That's insane. Quote
Matir Posted September 18, 2006 Posted September 18, 2006 Yeah, I was expecting 200 or so... not 1500. I'd consider paying like $50 or so, but I'm a broke college student. Rather have an autographed dvd or poster anyway. Quote
Darren Kitchen Posted September 18, 2006 Author Posted September 18, 2006 I just find it amazing that someone thinks it's worth $1500. I guess my signature accounts for 1% of that. Quote
Guest Posted September 18, 2006 Posted September 18, 2006 In other words he wants $1500 for a comic that has been read and drawn on? Quote
Darren Kitchen Posted September 18, 2006 Author Posted September 18, 2006 drawn on by leo laporte, amber mac, mike laz, myself, and wess tobler. alli signed two of the eight that were auctioned so it might be one of those as well. Quote
comcipher Posted September 19, 2006 Posted September 19, 2006 You're not paying for a comic book to read, you're paying for an autographed comic. You're paying for a (kinda) rare piece of geek memorabilia. Still not nearly worth $1000+ though. Quote
BadPolizei Posted September 19, 2006 Posted September 19, 2006 I would rather get a unsigned copy off ebay for .99. Quote
