Linksys WUSB600n supports injection and monitor. I have 2 of them.

Does it work straight out of the box, or do you still have to install the drivers?

I was going to buy one of the new Alfa's USB wireless adapter, but monitor mode doesn't seem to work with Backtrack. Now I know which one to buy.

Thanks for reply Mr-Protocol and link to aircrack drivers.

Think the WUSB600n uses RT2870 chipset.

So if there is an adaptor that uses same chipset and has external antenna, this should also work, rite??

Could Mr-Protocol please post which version of the WUSB600n he has that works 'out of the box'. v1 chipset Ralink RT2870, v1 chipset Ralink RT2850 or v2 chipset Ralink RT3572.

Just want to make sure I buy a compatible version.

Ah sorry. I have V1 and V2. Someone sent me a PM about it. If I'm not mistaken it uses Draft N though. Might be better off getting a newer USB adapter. I got those 2 a lil while ago and free :P.
