Darren Kitchen
I've been offered a webdev job but I'm way too busy with Hak5 to take it. I told the guy that I know a few webdevs that might be interested. I'm getting requirements from him soon. If you're an interested webdev that does commercial sites let me know, I figure it would be nice to throw someone in the community a bone. PoyBoy
I might be able to do it, depending on how simple the requirements are, but most likely not
Equerm
I'd love to, depending on what the requirements are, but i got like 4 paid jobs that i'm working on right now, if it's not tons of PHP / MySQL code then maybe i can take the job :) and my webpage is located at www.gigzor.com (it's in norwegian but i'm thinking about making a dual language site asap) And my portofolio can be found at www.gigzor.com/portofolio

Darren Kitchen
ok i got the requirements and it's not the kind of job i thought it was. seeing that this is a mature adult place i'll just go ahead and paste the email. if you're wondering how we came in contact, this guy is a photographer who's shooting one of my friends. I was actually stopping in Germany. I am in Latvia. I am looking for recurring maintenance. Here are the two sites.. We are starting with one. If you go to my myspace and check out my photography page. You will see a beautiful mix asian girl. She is a popular model on the nopi circuit as well as some other areas. We want to do her own membership site. Mostly implied nudity to start. Nothing pornographic. Very similiar in set up to www.nextdoorniki.com in the sense it will be reality based on her and her life however we do not want that teenie bopper look. She is an exotic looking woman and we want a mature exotic classy looking site. Something different then what is out there. She already has a fan base so getting members will not be difficult. My original plan was to cut the webmaster who builds and runs the site in on 25% of the monthly earnings which if you can figure it out is high. You figure you start it at 24.95 a month which is lower then most. 500 members in the first few months which is realistic. That is a big hunk of money. All the graphic work as in logos and such will be done by my graphic artist. We just need someone to put the page together and maintain it. I would have the billing go through CC bill because that is what most adult sites do. We also have 6 girls who want to do a group website. We want to call it La Bella Paradise and it will be alone the same theme with the classy look but will have 6 girls on it. We are starting with the one girls first to see how it works out. my budget. well that depends on weather or not were figuring in profit sharing, the quality of work being done, etc.. are you the one doing this or do you have someone else in mind? This is the dude's myspace: http://www.myspace.com/msvphotography This is my friend's myspace. I'm not sure how I feel about her getting another photographer. If you look at her pics about half were taken by me. http://www.myspace.com/thewayiseeit (To long time IRC regulars: yes, that's bitch beer beth) If you're interested in the gig drop him a line on myspace. I have no time with Hak5 and other projects to take this on.
comcipher
Looking at his myspace page I can see why he needs a code monkey to build and maintain the site. That thing is a disaster, takes a while to load and is overloaded with flash. Does he have any idea when he would need the site done by? Considering he says that he'd have someone do all the artwork it seems like a pretty straightfoward gig. I'd be tempted to take it but not without knowing how much recurring maintance he will need (or how often) and what his time frame is. adiosk8
I'd Be interested in something like this if you are still looking
Darren Kitchen
I'd Be interested in something like this if you are still looking It's not me that's looking. It's just this guy mike. The friend/model I used to photograph met him and he mentioned his need for a webdev. She put him in contact with me and since I have no time for it I figured someone in the community might be looking for a gig. I posted the thread before seeing the requirements. After reading the req's I'll just say, if I had the time I still wouldnt take it. I'm sure he's a great guy and all but his latest email "Thanks Darren, im sure someone will. they will make a lot of money!" kinda put me off. But whatever, a webdev job is a job I guess. I'd quote him $400 for initial page and $50 per page after that, but I doubt he'd spring for it. It seems like a commission deal which is a bit sketchy.
