When i ping 172.16.42.1 i get this: Pinging 172.16.42.1 with 32 bytes of data: Reply from 172.16.42.42: Destination host unreachable. Reply from 192.168.12.99: Destination host unreachable. Reply from 192.168.12.99: Destination host unreachable. Reply from 192.168.12.99: Destination host unreachable. Am i doing something wrong or is there a problem with the pineapple? I tried connecting in Backtrack 5 but i get the same results when i ping it. PS: I tried connecting via Wireless and it works
Sebkinne
Can you try not assigning yourself a static IP address? See if you get one from the MK3's DHCP pool. Maybe something went wrong there. Otherwise, you can always try re-flashing the router, that should work. Preferably I would want to fix this issue though. Try to do the above and report back! Darren Kitchen
Do you see the SSID Pineapple, pineapple3c, internet or openwrt when you scan for wireless networks?

Manny Balboa
is it possible to change the ssid pineapple to something else or just make it hidden so that people can only see open AP's they have saved and not this pineapple in their list ?? Sebkinne
You can also hide the SSID by giving it the option to disable ssid broadcast. Best, Sebkinne
Darren Kitchen
Seb, might you share the disable SSID broadcast configuration line?
Sebkinne
Seb, might you share the disable SSID broadcast configuration line? Of course! This needs to be in the /etc/config/wireless file: hidden 1 that is it ;) Best, Seb Edited December 7, 2011 by sebkinne
