Forget Steve, Dennis Ritchie Has Died!

Dennis Ritchie, one of the formative pioneers of modern Computer Science died on October 8th at the age of 70. He was one of creators of the C programming language and the Unix operating system. His book on C, which is co-authored with Brian Kernighan, is still widely regarded as one of the pinnacle texts on Computer Science.

I wouldn't go as far as saying "forget" Steve. But I agree, Dennis Ritchie had a far wider influence on the tech world and pretty much everyone's life directly and indirectly.

Actually, just had a thought.

Once again, not to take anything away from Steve Jobs but...

Dying wasn't cool until Steve Jobs done it.

More of a comment on other people than him..
