Network Security

Entering a competition to learn and have fun not really to win; what it is, is a security competition. Where you set up a network and you are being attack and you try to maintain it.

Just starting out in it so dont know that much; but wondering where to go to learn alot about network security?

There is no "overnight guide to network security".

My collective knowledge of network security started i'll say back in 1999 when I started programming and sniffing yahoo packets to cause people to get critical errors on yahoo messenger. Then morphed to current with Metasploit 4 and computer/digital forensics :)

I have a background in Cisco just don't remeber all commands and all, i can't get into the accademy page since i graduated back in 08' Just need some meterial or labs for refreshal; im practicing in packet tracing.

Why don't you watch the securitytube.net and IronGeek.com videos, there are plenty of infoSec information there.

Your Absolutely Right! I've been on irongeek all week watching videos from derbycon.

@OP there's actually a good talk on Red Teaming by Raphael Mudge (creator of Armitage) he talks all about the Collegiate Cyber Defense competition
