freads Posted August 7, 2011 Posted August 7, 2011 Hello all, I want to know what i should be doing before planning to build a miniature supercomputer which is actually made for educational purpose. It's called Little Fe. You can see the project page here LITTLE FE and i'm a n00b in programming but i know the basics and i would like to extend my level by learning Python,Fortran 95,Open MPI and other prog languages. The supercomputer supports BCCD(BOOTABLE CLUSTER CD) which is specially custom built for the Little Fe which has 6 nodes. Please help me as i wish to know how to proceed forward in this project! Thanks Quote
Dioxin Posted September 21, 2011 Posted September 21, 2011 First question is to ask yourself why you want all this hardware. If its just to learn, then you can avoid the expense by using Virtual Machines instead, considerably cheaper than $3000 Quote
