Mr Andrewson
C'mon i still have the problem of finding out how to reduce the mass bytes to normal
Sparda
There isn't any thing wrong besides there been so many procsses running in the background. I'm fairly sure this is an instance where the problem is between the keyboard and the chair ;)
Mr Andrewson
No it's not me... I am telling you i am recieving too many bytes than normal... processes don't go through the internet unless it's a downloader...
Sparda
There is no evidence of 'foul play' every which way we have looked. We have seen a proccess lest, no properly suspisiuse processes. We have seen a netstat dump, there is no suspisiuse internet connections... there is no problem apart from your paranoia.
Mr Andrewson
Ok explain this... Ive been on this site for like half an hour and only this site and some small 32kb sites and ive recieved 23,193,471 bytes... 23mb.
Mr Andrewson
Oh and could you make a list of processes you have so i have an idea what to keep?
Sparda
That mesurment will include the TCP overhead as well (as well as any PPPoE or PPPoA over heads if you have a direct connection). Window also could be trying to lockate other computers running windows (by sending lots of lovly broadcasts every few seconds). A device must be responding, but I can't be sure becasue I don't know how your conection is setup. I still stand by my diagnosis: "The only problem here is your paranoia". VaKo
2nd that. How do you know the site is only 32KB? Thats hardly enough for sparda's avatar ( ;-) )
Mr Andrewson
Could you make a list of processes you have running so i know what to end or at least i have an idea... Heres how my connection is set up... dsl cable from bt phone socket into external modem, external modem usb to computer...
Mr Andrewson
I said ive been on some small 32kb sites... well hats the size it said on google
VaKo
What sites? List them. If they have pictures on them, there more than 32kb As for the processes, don't fuck around with them unless you know what your doing. Otherwise you will deffinatly have to reinstall. Your computer is fine.
