The Sorrow
nice tool... will it work on 2008 R2 though?
Infiltrator
nice tool... will it work on 2008 R2 though? I haven't tried, but it should work. This utility basically copies all the drivers, all the printer shares to a single archive file. All you have to do then is run it on the PC you are migrating the printers to. The Sorrow
well it backed everything up into a bin just fine. cant seem to restore the settings on another server for some reason though
digip
I think you will need to add the x64 drivers as well, but don't quote me on that. Check out - http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/cc722360.aspx
The Sorrow
For the most part we have the 64 bit drivers for each type of printer. we have been doing x64 windows 7 deployments slowly and already added the drivers.

The Sorrow
Yes and i believe it helps. I can dump all the printer shares into a txt file and make a batch file to do it quickly.
