Mr-Protocol Posted June 25, 2011 Posted June 25, 2011 (edited) Pro Tip: Learn networking, search forums before posting The pineapple is not a device that anyone can really setup. I mean you can but it's imperative to have a computer networking background to really understand what is going on to set it up correctly. You posted in the "Jasager" section of the forums... look at all the other threads before you clicked the "Start New Topic". Really the same process as every other forum. I second what Mr-Protocol said, but if you look on the product page (http://hakshop.com/collections/frontpage/products/wifi-pineapple) you can see some basic guides from Auto-Rickrolling WiFi Pineapple, Phishing with a WiFi Pineapple, WiFi Pineapple: your first connection, Session Hijacking with a WiFi Pineapple in Windows, and WiFi Pineapple Flashing Guide – Building or Unbricking. UnDeFiNeD Posted June 26, 2011 Posted June 26, 2011 I agree, some knowledge is needed before just diving in headfirst, but in no way do you have to be an expert to get it working so don't get discouraged. First, get used to using linux and a ssh client like putty. Then study up on some basic networking, including IPv4 and IPv6, DHCP, DNS, ARP, MAC addresses as well as stuff related to wireless networking. With those basics, I was able to get it up and running.
