Pos Keyboard - Make It Work

I work in a retail shop, and after upgrading our registers, I took an old one home to mess with (couldnt take the hard drive).

I put a new hd in and installed XP Pro, and the problem I'm having is that I cant get the keyboard to work right on it.

The normal keys work, but the card reader doesnt. Anybody know of where to get the drivers for it? I looked all over ibm.com (the maker of the keyboard) - I found a program to configure the hotkeys on it, but it says i dont have a keyboard.

can someone help get some drivers to make the card reader work?

One of two things is probably happening. 1, you might need a serial to usb/ps2 driver for the keyboard, which makes it a virtual serial device for scanning the cards in its swiper, or 2, the register was meant for something like embedded windows CE or such and not XP, with proper drivers for the hardware in question. If work upgraded these registers, see if they came with software for installs, like a cdrom or such and they might have the drivers on them, even if the register shipped pre-installed, they usually send software with it on cdrom.
