shane Posted June 22, 2011 Posted June 22, 2011 I work in a retail shop, and after upgrading our registers, I took an old one home to mess with (couldnt take the hard drive). I put a new hd in and installed XP Pro, and the problem I'm having is that I cant get the keyboard to work right on it. The normal keys work, but the card reader doesnt. Anybody know of where to get the drivers for it? I looked all over ibm.com (the maker of the keyboard) - I found a program to configure the hotkeys on it, but it says i dont have a keyboard. can someone help get some drivers to make the card reader work? If work upgraded these registers, see if they came with software for installs, like a cdrom or such and they might have the drivers on them, even if the register shipped pre-installed, they usually send software with it on cdrom. jobdone Posted June 22, 2011 Posted June 22, 2011 I doubt this was a CE device as it sounds like PC hardware (and the fact you've managed to install XP) I have seen alot of these POS devices around and they tend to run Embedded 98,2K or XP. It seems OPOS may be of use to you... Quote
